How does AI-powered image shortcuts work on WhatsApp?
According to a report by WhatsApp update tracker WABetaInfo, the instant messaging platform’s shortcut for the image generation feature was spotted in the WhatsApp beta for Android version 2.24.12.4. It reportedly allows users to generate AI-powered images using Meta AI quickly on the app.
Meta AI has the ability to pre-generate images, but they can only be accessed through a text prompt by typing “@Meta AI” into the AI chatbox in a group chat. With all this rumored feature, it is thought that it could enable quick image creation for those who frequently communicate through AI images.

As you can see in the image above, a new quick shortcut named Imagine appears in the Attachments option. Through this feature we can generate images of Meta AI. According to reports, it is in the beta build of WhatsApp.
The feature is only available to users who already have Meta AI, the report says. This chatbox is currently available only in Australia, USA, Canada, South Africa and other select countries. Yes, it is also true that WhatsApp is testing Chatbox in Meta India also. But this feature can be introduced to the users anytime in the future.
